iTejano.com was founded and created by Marcelo A. (Tone) Tafoya. After having been raised in the Tejano Industry he had grown to realize that Tejano needed a greater presence on the internet and iTejano was born. 3 years in the making and iTejano.com is finally here, ready and able for all your Tejano needs. Tone Tafoya has 18+ years in the Tejano Industry, beginning his career in broadcasting at KRGT Radio in Austin, Texas. Continuing on in TV production, Print Media, and Recording. Having studied Business, Business Law, and Marketing he continued his study of Web Development. In 2007, Tone Tafoya acquired a VC to help develop iTejano.com, wanting to create the first official Web 2.0 community for the Tejano community at large.

Mr. Tafoya has 40+ years in the Tejano Industry, having started one of the first full-time La Onda broadcasts. He has owned a recording company, record stores, promoting company, advertising agency, several radio stations, television shows, and more. His experience in the industry, earned him the first ever Lifetime Achievement Award presented to him by the Tejano Music Awards.
