Tejano Lyrics on Lyric Wiki

The good news is that there is actually a lyrics site out there with NO POP-UPS! The bad news is that there are very few Tejano lyrics on there.   It is http://lyricwiki.org/ You can search by artist, album, song, hometown or genre. To get to the Tejano Genre go to: http://lyricwiki.org/Category:Genre/Tejano   It works like Wikipedia. Anyone can add to it or make corrections. I think it would be cool to see some more Tejano artists represented on there, because it feeds to yes.com . For those of you who are not familiar with yes.com , it is a site where you can find any song played on Univision, Clear Channel, BMP, or Liberman REPORTING stations only (for example you can't access Houstons am Tejano 980) in the past week by typing in the call letters where it says "Search by Channel). It will also give you a list of recent songs played, you can also check the stations top 100, or you can search by artist to see which of the stations have recently played them. On any of these lists you can click on the song, and if there are lyrics on Lyric Wiki they will show up, and also any you-tube video it finds for that song (although sometimes it puts some other stuff there, because of the way people list those videos) You can check it out at http://www.yes.com   Anyway back to Lyric Wiki, the songs can be added under an artists name, or they can be put under albums, and even pictures of album covers can be included. You can also link the artist to a Wikipedia article if there is one on them, you can add their website links and any other external links you want to add (like MySpace for example), and you can link You Tube Videos also (or if videos are elswhere then just use the "other external links"). If anyone would like to add an artist, let me know, I've been playing around in there and have figured out a lot of stuff. Or if you'd like I'd be happy to get you started, just give me the lyrics to at least one song , the album it's on , track listing etc. If you want to try it on your own and set up a page for an artist, be sure to add the template to the page that will make it show up under the Tejano genre (and I'd also recommend putting it under the Latin and Regional Mexican ones as well)
