In my travels around the country...I always find time to check in on the local music stores to see if they are carrying Tejano CDs on their shelves. The problem is in most cases WHEN I find the CDs...they may be displayed in the wrong section such as "Regional Mexican" or even "Norteño". This troubles me. But what we must ALL do is request and outright demand that these stores carry more Tejano music. If we ALL don;t start requesting this to happen...then guess what?! They will NOT contact the distributors and purchase Tejano music for their shelves. Start a local campaign...create a street team and send out the hounds to hit these stores up! Never wait on things to get popular if you truly love them...MAKE them popular and help create the hype!
