April 22, 2008 (Austin, TX) – The Pachanga Latino Music Festival, Austin’s first Latin-themed music, cultural arts and food festival, announced today the lineup, location and dates for the second annual event. The one-day festival, which will be held this year at Fiesta Gardens on Saturday, May 30th, will once again close out Austin’s Latino Music Month and will showcase the vibrant blend of Latino-created music and art. Artists include Norteño superstar Michael Salgado, Mexican Institute of Sound (fresh off their Coachella run), Plastilina Mosh, Brownout, Ocote Soul Sounds, Davíd Garza, Los Bad Apples and more…

Pachanga will host over 20 acts and Djs from Texas, California, NYC and Mexico. The festival will also showcase cuisine from Austin’s greatest Latin American and Mexican restaurants and an array of craft vendors.

New to this year’s festival, will be Niños Rock Pachanga, an interactive kids area that will feature hands on cultural activities, dance lessons, music workshops and artists appearances. Niños Rock Pachanga will kick off at noon and run until 4:00pm.

“Pachanga will bring the lively party to Fiesta Gardens on May 30th, that is for sure,” says Alejandro Vallejo, event organizer and Vallejo band member. “’For the first annual we chose artists that were a little left of center, this year we are bringing in acts that cross all Latin musical genres.
